Jaipur: The Rajasthan State Allied and Healthcare Council (RSAHC), Jaipur, has issued an important advisory to all universities across the state regarding mandatory recognition, rules, and operational regulations under the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP) Act, 2021.
In an official communication dated 17th July 2025 (Ref: रा.स्टेट.अ.हेल्थकेयर/2025/294), the Council emphasized that educational institutions running physiotherapy and other allied health programs at diploma, degree, or postgraduate levels must obtain affiliation from the State Council before starting or continuing such programs.
The letter reaffirms the legal mandate under the NCAHP Act, 2021, especially Section 22, which requires institutions offering Allied and Healthcare programs to secure recognition from the State Allied and Healthcare Council. This action follows a prior government notification dated 30th August 2024 granting enforcement powers to the Council in Rajasthan.
The Council noted with concern that several institutions are operating physiotherapy courses—which fall under the Allied Health professions—without the required affiliation. This constitutes a violation of the Act.
"Institutions that run diploma, degree, or master's level programs in disciplines such as physiotherapy without the Council’s affiliation will not have their students recognized for professional registration or future career opportunities," the letter stated.
The Council has warned that universities and colleges continuing to operate without authorization will be held solely responsible for the registration and career future of their students. The RSAHC will not be accountable for students enrolled in non-affiliated programs.
This advisory is aimed at ensuring uniformity and national-level compliance in Allied and Healthcare education across Rajasthan, while also upholding the quality and integrity of professional training.
The Council also issued copies of the directive to key state stakeholders, including:
- The Additional Chief Secretary, Medical and Health Department, Jaipur
- The Secretary, Medical and Health (Group-3), Government of Rajasthan
- The Registrar, Rajasthan University of Health Sciences
- All universities currently running paramedical and allied healthcare programs in the state
Institutions are strongly advised to complete the affiliation process immediately. For further details, universities can visit the official website: https://rsahcouncil.org.
