Tripura government released a Gazette notification in exercise of the powers conferred by section 68 of the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions Act, 2021. The rules, namely called the 'Tripura State Allied and Healthcare Council Rules, 2022', were released on the 22nd of December, 2023, under No. 2147, File no- No.F.1 (68)-DHS/GS/22 under the Health and Family Welfare Government of Tripura.


The National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP) Act, 2021 was enacted on March 28, 2021 by the Central Government of India. The act aims to regulate and standardize the education and practice of healthcare professionals in India. Under the Act Tripura State Allied and Healthcare Council constituted.

1. Short title and commencement.

(1) These rules may be called the 'Tripura State Allied and Healthcare Council Rules, 2022'.

(2) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. Definitions.-

(1) In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires:

(a) 'Act' means the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions Act, 2021 (14 of 2021);

(b) 'Commission' means the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions constituted under section 3 of the Act;

(c) 'Form' means a form annexed to these rules;

(d) 'Section' means a section of the Act;

(e) 'Council' means the Tripura State Allied and Healthcare Council constituted under Sub-Section (1) of Section 22 of the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions Act, 2021.

(2) Words and expressions used in these rules and not defined herein but defined in the Act shall have the respective meanings assigned to them in the Act.
