Salt is an essential ingredient in our daily diet. No food is tasty without salt. However, excess salt in food can be harmful.

Salt is very important for all the functions of our body. Salt (NaCl or sodium chloride) plays an important role in nerve control from muscle contraction.

However, when salt is too much, it can cause chemical imbalances in the body, leading to premature death. Apart from this, eating too much salt increases blood pressure. This can cause the arteries to weaken and reduce blood and oxygen flow. On the other hand, kidney is an important organ of our body. Its function is to excrete all the toxic wastes produced in the body through urine. However, if excess salt is not removed from the body, it can form kidney stones. According to a recent study, around 1.65 million people worldwide die from heart disease every year due to excessive salt intake.

According to the World Health Organization, a person should not consume more than five grams of salt per day. It helps protect against heart disease and various related diseases. So try to reduce the amount of salt you eat. Salt is beneficial to the body, but too much is deadly.
